What is a VPS / virtual machine?
It is a computer in the cloud that runs all the time and is yours alone. There is nothing to buy or keep at home — you control the lot through your browser and SSH. Use it for a website, a game server, a VPN or somewhere to learn.
Do I need to know my way around the cloud?
No. Resources are chosen with sliders, the server builds itself, and every action (start, stop, backups, opening a port) is a single click in the panel.
Do I have to create an account first?
No. You place the order straight away — you give your e-mail address and billing details, you pay, and you set your portal password after the payment, from a link we e-mail you and show on the confirmation screen. The account is created at the moment you order. The whole route: Order and launch a VPS.
I already have a WebDisk account (WebDisk Files, say) — what now?
Use the same e-mail address when you order. The order will be linked to your WebDisk account and you will sign in to the VM panel with your existing password — there is no new one to set. You can also simply sign in before ordering.
What is an SSH key?
It is a pair of files: the public key (which stays on the server) and the private key (which stays with you). Together they work like a very secure lock and its matching key — you sign in without typing a password, and nobody gets in without your private key. It is safer than a password alone.
Where is my private key?
In the "SSH key" section of the panel — you will find it below the list of servers, at the foot of the page, and not on an individual server's card. There is one key for the whole account and it goes onto every new server. Download it with the "Download private key" button and keep it safe. If you pasted your own public key, the private key was only ever yours.
I want to use a different key — can I swap it?
Yes, in the same section: "Replace with your own public key" → "Save key". Bear in mind that the swap covers future servers only — those already running keep their current key.
I have lost my private key / I cannot sign in.
Use the "Access" section on the server card: "Show login" gives you the user and password, "Open console" gives you the server's screen in your browser, and "Reset password" sets a new password (the server is briefly stopped and started again).
Can I protect my account further?
Yes. In the "Profile" window turn on "Two-factor authentication" (2FA) with the "Enable 2FA" button — you scan a QR code with an authenticator app and confirm with a code. From then on we ask for the "Authenticator code" at sign-in.
How do I open a port, 80 (a website) for instance?
On the server card open the "Firewall" section. Pick the "Protocol", enter the same number in "Port (from)" and "Port (to)" for a single port, leave "Allowed source (CIDR)" empty if the port should be reachable from anywhere, and click "Open port". Ports 22 (SSH) and 443 (HTTPS) are always open. Details: Access and management.
Can I restrict access to a port, or undo a rule?
Yes. In the "Allowed source (CIDR)" field, enter the address or address range the port should be reachable from. You remove one of your own rules with the "Remove" button next to it in the list; the default rules (22 and 443) cannot be removed.
What difference does a public IP make?
A server with its own public IP has an address that belongs to it alone. A server without one reaches the internet through a shared address, and the ports you open are forwarded from that shared address — so your service works and is reachable from outside. The difference: the address is not exclusively yours, and you cannot set a PTR record on it. The first server gets a public IP included; for later ones the address is chargeable.
Can I buy a public IP later, or give one up?
Yes — in the "Grow this server" section on the server card: "Buy public IP" (a monthly fee charged pro rata) and "Give up the public IP" (the charge disappears, the unused part of the month is credited, and any PTR you set is deleted). The address that comes included with your account is free and cannot be given up — it is the one through which servers without their own address forward their ports.
What do I need a PTR record for?
Above all for sending mail — practically every provider rejects messages from an address whose PTR does not match the sender's name. You set a PTR in the "Reverse DNS (PTR)" section, but only for a server with a dedicated public IP.
Do my servers see each other?
Yes. All your servers are on one private network and see each other on internal addresses with no configuration at all. Other users' servers are isolated from you. You will find a diagram of the whole thing in the "Network map" section above the list of servers.
Can I increase the server's power later?
Yes. In the "Grow this server" section choose "Change the server's size", set the vCPU, RAM and system disk, and click "Apply". The server is stopped, rebuilt and started again — expect a couple of minutes of downtime. The subscription moves to the new size immediately and you are charged the difference for the rest of the current month. The system disk can only be grown.
How do I add space for data?
In the same section: "Add HDD disk", give the "Size (GB)" and click "Add disk". Up to 10 disks per server by default. The new disk still has to be partitioned and formatted within your operating system.
Can I remove a disk I bought?
Not on your own — the panel has no such action. Write to us through "Report a problem" and we will take the disk off and adjust the subscription.
Do I have backups?
Yes — snapshots. Automatic copies are taken daily and we keep the last 5 by default (older ones roll off on their own; you do not delete them yourself). On top of that you can hold 3 manual snapshots per server by default — you take them with the "Take snapshot" button, and when you hit the limit you delete one and create a new one.
I have broken something on the server — can it be undone?
If you have a snapshot from before the change, yes: pick it from the list and click "Restore". Restoring overwrites the current state of every disk on the server and takes a few minutes. If you have no snapshot, there is still "Reinstall" — which wipes the system disk (extra HDD disks are kept).
Where is my data?
On our own infrastructure in Poland / the EU. The connection to the panel is encrypted (HTTPS). You can download a copy of the personal data we hold about you yourself: the "Profile" window → "Download my data (JSON)".
How do I pay?
Monthly, with no long commitment. The price is broken down into processor, memory, disks and public IP both when you order and when you resize a server. Extra disks, power or addresses are billed pro rata for the rest of the month.
Where do I find my invoice?
In the "Invoices" section at the foot of the panel — with a "Download PDF" button. VAT invoices are issued to companies and only with a complete profile: in the "Profile" window fill in "VAT / NIP", "Street", "Postal code" and "City", then tick "I'd like an invoice (VAT)". Without all of that the invoice list stays empty. It is worth filling in "Country" and the buyer's name too — both go onto the document. The invoice carries a single line item: the WebDisk VM subscription.
I have turned the server off — am I still paying?
Yes. A stopped server is billed, because the resources stay reserved for you. To stop paying, cancel that server's subscription.
How do I cancel?
On the server card, in the "Subscription" section, click "Cancel subscription" — the server runs to the end of the period you have paid for and is then removed. Up to that date you can change your mind with the "Resume subscription" button.
What happens if a payment fails?
We remind you by e-mail, and the deadlines are as follows: after 7 days overdue the server is stopped, after 14 days it is permanently deleted along with its data and the subscription is cancelled. Settling the payment before those deadlines restores the service.
How do I delete my account?
In the "Profile" window click "Close my account". You must cancel all your servers first. Closing schedules the permanent deletion of the account and your personal data after a 30-day grace period — during that time you can sign in and change your mind with the "Cancel account closure" button.
Why have my servers been stopped?
There are two common causes. First: an unconfirmed e-mail address — 7 days after the order the account is suspended and all servers stopped; all it takes is clicking the activation link in the e-mail. Second: an overdue payment — after 7 days overdue the server is stopped. In both cases the panel shows an explanatory banner at the top of the page.
The panel is asking me to accept some documents.
That means we have updated the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy or the data processing agreement. The "Please review our legal documents" window blocks the panel until you click "Accept and continue" — there is no way past it otherwise.
The server will not start / I cannot connect.
Check the status on the server card (it should read "Running") and that you are using the right address, user and key. Try "Open console" in the "Access" section. If the problem keeps coming back, use the "Report a problem" section — describe what you were doing and we will look into it.
💡 Not found your answer? Write to us through "Report a problem". The form works even when the account is suspended.
